In the new year, the prices for mailing letters and packages will increase. According to the United States Postal Service (USPS), starting from January 21, 2024, the price of First-Class Forever stamps will rise from 66 cents to 68 cents. The domestic postcard stamp price will also increase from 51 cents to 53 cents, and the international postcard price will increase from $1.50 to $1.55.

In addition to the stamp price hike, starting from January 21, the prices for Priority Mail and other postal services will also increase. The USPS Ground Advantage price will rise by 5.4%, Priority Mail will increase by 5.7%, and Priority Mail Express will see a 5.9% increase. The price for USPS Connect Local will remain unchanged.

"Due to the continued inflationary pressure on operating expenses, and the lingering impact of the previously flawed pricing model, these price adjustments are necessary to provide much-needed revenue for USPS to achieve the financial stability sought under its 'Delivering for America' ten-year plan," USPS stated in October.
